Sign program defines paths of travel to encourage pedestrian exploration and add clarity. The 6ft tall Water St sign marches at a regular cadence, identifying the pedestrian promenade as its own distinct place on the Oakland waterfront. Scope also included visioning/palette development for the streetscape and furniture.

A busy, but nonetheless confusing, shopping center in Flushing, came to the table looking for tactical strategies to update the center and lease hard to find places. Architect: SBLM

Client team wanted to activate retail sight lines and improve leasing for ground level retail serving multi-family residential communities.

As the city worked to define its future, signage marked the future district with a dramatic arch at the corner of Barranca and Red Hill. Temporary signs marked the edges and future street locations, to help neighbors envision the future with optimism.

The UCI campus landscape master plan was updated to align with the campus-wide sustainability goals under the leadership of the Naturescape initiative. In collaboration with Studio MLA, the team developed a sign program that brings in materials and type from the campus wide sign program, with a new iconic circle form referencing the shape of Aldrich Park. The master plan includes donor recognition, plant id tags and links to campus trails.

Diverse services from private full service catered events to box lunches and department buffets required a big brand. Close collaboration with the staff defined tools that hit the ground running.
